I was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico after my mom was induced into labor shortly after eating a large serving of mofongo. When I was 7, my family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL and much to my surprise, my 2nd-grade peers couldn’t even point out Puerto Rico on a map, but they could point out my accent. Naturally, I chose another humid place to live when I moved to Savannah, GA to attend Savannah College of Art and Design.
